Event detailsA forest fire broke out in the city of Jingdezhen, east China’s Jiangxi Province, at around 4:20 p.m. Monday, local authorities said Tuesday. More than 280 people have been dispatched to quench the blaze as of Tuesday morning, according to the provincial emergency management department. No casualties were reported. The fire broke out on Monday afternoon in Yinkeng Village and spread to a forest farm at around 2 a.m. on Tuesday. Data showed that the fire had spread over an area of around 20 hectares. The cause of the fire is being investigated. Jingdezhen is synonymous with ceramics in China. The city boasts a long history of pottery production.
