A public transport passenger died while 22 others including the driver were injured when a Manila-bound bus toppled over on the road in Aurora province early Saturday morning. According to an initial report from the Philippine National Police (PNP), the Joy bus (TXZ 585) was going downhill in Barangay Dianawan, Maria Aurora town, at 6:10 a.m., when the driver Jesus Onod, 40, lost control of the vehicle causing it to go wayward before it toppled over on its left side. The impact killed one passenger, identified as Filipinas Lim, 51. Onod and 12 other passengers were brought to the Premiere General Hospital while the rest were taken to the Aurora Memorial Hospital for treatment.
