TAICHUNG, TAIWAN — June 12, 2025 — In a move that signals a tectonic shift in Asia’s high-tech educational landscape, the Georgia Institute of Technology has entered into a landmark tri-party agreement with Taiwan’s Tunghai University and the GeoAsia Education Foundation. The collaboration aims to establish the island's first integrated "Smart Manufacturing and AI Experimental Park"—a hybrid ecosystem designed to bridge the gap between academic research and industrial application.

The partnership, facilitated by GeoAsia founder and veteran financier C.Y. Huang, introduces a sophisticated "OIP Joint Innovation Field" and grants Tunghai exclusive access to six internationally certified curricula from Georgia Tech’s Professional Education division. This initiative sets a new benchmark for engineering education in Asia, focusing on the "Physical Internet" and the practical deployment of robotics in manufacturing.

Local government officials, including Taichung Deputy Mayor Cheng, Chao-Hsin, have lauded the project as the catalyst that will transform Taichung from a traditional industrial heartland into a global nerve center for robotic design and digital transformation. By combining Georgia Tech’s top-tier technical IP with Taiwan’s manufacturing prowess, the venture aims to de-risk the transition to Industry 4.0 for regional enterprises.
